New Delhi: The changing tone of relationships in Mumbai has often been making headlines and one such famous incident is related to the bitterness between Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan which had once divided the entire Bollywood into two parts. This dispute started in the year 2008 during Katrina Kaif’s birthday party.

It is said that that night a minor joke and dispute suddenly took a serious turn and a heated argument took place between the two superstars. The situation got so bad that it even reached the point of a scuffle. However, the people present on the spot took control of the situation. After this incident, there was a rift in the relationship between the two which remained for the next five years.

Many reasons are given behind this controversy, some people consider it to be an ego clash while some see it linked to the competition of TV shows of that time. In fact, during that time, Salman Khan’s show Dus Ka Dum was very successful, while Shahrukh Khan was hosting Kya Aap Panchvi Paas Se Tej Hain, which was lagging behind in the TRP race. It is said that the banter that started as a joke on this issue gradually turned into a serious controversy.

The impact of this fight was not limited to only the two actors but it had an impact on the entire film industry. It was as if Bollywood had divided into two camps. Salim Khan also played an important role in making this meeting special. It is said that such a seating arrangement was deliberately made so that the conversation could start.

When Salman reached there and saw Shahrukh sitting near his father, he took the initiative and started a conversation. This meeting ended the five-year old bitterness and both of them forgot their grudges and extended the hand of friendship.

Later, Salman Khan himself also admitted that that dispute was very childish and with time it was understood that such things have no meaning. After this reconciliation, not only his fans but the entire film industry heaved a sigh of relief because the world of Bollywood, which was divided for a long time, once again became united.
