Booking of KIA EV9 electric SUV starts at a token amount of Rs 10 lakh, know when it will be delivered

New Delhi. Kia India is going to launch its new EV9 Electric SUV in the Indian market. The suspense over this will end on October 3. In such a situation, some selected dealers of the company have started taking orders for its booking. According to the report, dealers are giving a token amount of Rs 10 lakh for its booking. After the launch, the company can start the delivery of this SUV in March 2025. EV9 will be fully imported. It will be brought to India through the CBU route.

Expected Features and Specifications of Kia EV9

The Kia EV9 will be the leading SUV from the Korean automaker. It will be equipped with a 99.8Kwh battery pack. It will have an ARAI-certified driving range of 561km on a single charge. Apart from this, it will be offered as an AWD with a power output of 380bhp and a peak torque of 700Nm. This powertrain will take the EV9 from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds. It takes only 24 minutes to charge from 10 to 80% with a DC fast charger.

Talking about dimensions, the length of this SUV is 5,015mm, width 1,980mm and height 1,780mm. Its wheelbase is 3,100mm. In terms of safety, it will have features like 10 airbags, ABS, ESC, downhill brake control, vehicle stability management, all-wheel disc brakes and 360-degree camera. Apart from this, it will also have ADAS level 2 features, which will include forward collision warning, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, high beam assist and lane keep assist.

It is believed that its ex-showroom price can be more than Rs 1 crore. The company will launch this all-electric three-row SUV in 5 color options. However, only a single variant will be available in it. With this price, the EV9 SUV will compete with luxury and premium models like Land Rover Defender, Volvo XC90, Audi Q8, BMW X5, Range Rover Velar, Mercedes-Benz GLE along with Lexus RX.

15 lakh discount on EV6

Kia India EV6 electric car is getting a discount of up to Rs 15 lakh this month. The starting ex-showroom price of this crossover is Rs 61 lakh. At the same time, the on-road price in Delhi is around Rs 74 lakh. In such a situation, a discount of up to Rs 15 lakh is being given on its price at the company's dealership. It can be purchased from the dealership at a price of around Rs 55 lakh to Rs 60 lakh. It is believed that this discount is being offered on it due to the company's new flagship 7-seater electric SUV EV9.
