Modernizing its services, Delhi Municipal Corporation has completely digitalized the booking process of parks and community buildings. This simply means that now people will not need to stand in long queues or make repeated trips to the corporation offices for booking.

Now you will not have to make rounds of officials for weddings and social programs, the process of booking and payment can be completed with one click while sitting at home.

With the implementation of this new system, citizens will get great convenience in booking venues for weddings, receptions, birthdays, religious rituals and other social events. Earlier the process of booking parks or community halls for these events was quite complicated. People had to rely on offline means to prepare files, obtain licenses and make payments, which wasted a lot of time and energy. Now with this entire process being online, people will be able to book their favorite place from their home or office.

90 parks and more than 300 community buildings were listed on the online portal, thousands of people registered their advance booking under the new system.

As part of this step towards Digital India, currently 90 parks and 323 community buildings have been made available on the online portal. This new system is also getting good response from the public. A total of 6913 online bookings have been registered so far, whereas only 2043 bookings could be done through the old offline method. The demand can be gauged from the fact that booking of 396 out of 90 parks and 213 out of 323 community buildings has already been confirmed for the upcoming period.

From application status to payment receipt, everything will be available on the website, the new system will bring transparency in the system and eliminate scope for rigging.

To avail this facility, citizens only have to visit the official website of the corporation. After applying, its current status, payment receipt and booking confirmation can all be obtained online. Earlier, there were many complaints of lack of transparency and corruption in manual booking, but now with the entire process being online, the system will become transparent. This will not only reduce the possibility of corruption, but will also increase the trust of the general public in the administration.
