Box Office Report: Krishnavataram’s high leap, Raja Shivaji’s dominance and Bhoot Bangla’s historic innings

While new release ‘Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart’ has shown a stellar recovery in its first weekend, Riteish Deshmukh’s ‘Raja Shivaji’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bhoot Bangla’ are creating new records despite being old players. 1. Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart – The magic is done!

The Siddharth Gupta starrer mythological film has achieved ‘miraculous’ growth at the box office after a slow start.

  • Sunday Dhamaka: On Sunday (Day 4), the film made a net collection of around ₹4.19 crore, which is compared to its first day (₹42 lakh). 733% That’s a huge jump.

  • Total Earnings: The film’s 4-day total India net collection has now reached approximately ₹8.77 crore.

  • Tax-free in UP: The film’s earnings are expected to see a further jump after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared the film tax-free in Uttar Pradesh.

2. Raja Shivaji – New History of Marathi Cinema

This historical drama directed and starring Riteish Deshmukh is showing no signs of slowing down.

  • Collection: On the 10th day of release (Sunday), the film collected ₹6.80 crore.

  • Total Earnings: The film’s net collection in India now stands at ₹68.25 crore. Trade experts believe that it will soon cross the ₹100 crore mark and become the biggest film of Marathi cinema.

3. Bhoot Bangla – Superhit comeback of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan

The pair of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan have once again proved that they are the real players of the box office.

  • Worldwide explosion: The film has made a worldwide gross collection of ₹236.63 crore.

  • Domestic Update: The film maintained a strong hold during its fourth weekend in India and the total India net collection has crossed ₹145 crore in 24 days. Producer Ekta Kapoor has called it the biggest hit of her career.

4. Grandma’s Wedding and Other Movies

  • Grandmother’s wedding: This comedy film starring Neetu Kapoor and Kapil Sharma is struggling to attract the audience. The film barely managed to collect ₹2.5 – ₹3 crore nett in the first weekend.
