Sanjay Singh, Patna. A 28-year-old youth was allegedly beaten to death during a love affair in Baradhi village under the Mufassil police station area of Sasaram, Bihar. The incident is said to have happened around 2 o’clock last night. The young man was called from home by phone and after this he was killed. There is an atmosphere of panic and anger in the entire area due to this sensational incident.
The deceased has been identified as Shailendra Kumar (28), son of Lalbadan Singh, resident of Baradhi village. According to family members, Shailendra was in a love affair with a girl from the village. Last night someone called him. The family alleges that it was a well-planned conspiracy, under which some people called him near the girl’s house, surrounded him and beat him mercilessly. Seriously injured Shailendra died on the spot.

Went to meet girlfriend, people were waiting in ambush
Family members say that Shailendra had reached near the girl’s house at around 2 o’clock in the night. Some people already present there caught him and started beating him with sticks. Hearing the noise, people nearby gathered, but by then it was too late. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the family members reached the spot, where Shailendra was lying in an unconscious state. There was mourning in the village after the incident. The family members are in bad condition and crying. Lalbadaan Singh, father of the deceased, called it a planned murder and demanded strict action. He alleges that people angry over his love affair hatched a conspiracy and killed his son.
FIR registered on the application of family members
On receiving information about the incident, Mufassil police station reached the spot and sent the body to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. On the application of family members, a named FIR has been registered in the police station. Police have registered the case and started investigation. The police station chief said that in the initial investigation the matter seems to be related to a love affair. It has come to light that the deceased was called by phone. Call details are being investigated.

One accused arrested, search for others continues
The Superintendent of Police said that an accused has been arrested in this case. His interrogation is ongoing. Other suspects have been identified and raids are being conducted to arrest them. Police say that the culprits will not be spared and soon all the accused will be arrested. There is a tense situation in the village after the incident. Police force has been deployed as a precautionary measure.
