BPL 2025-26 Coach Death: Disappointing news has come to the cricket world from Bangladesh. Today i.e. on 27th December, the new edition of Bangladesh Premier League is going to start. Before the match between Dhaka Capitals and Rajshahi Royals at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Dhaka Capitals assistant coach Mahboob Ali Zaki suffered a heart attack. After which he was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead.

Before the start of the match between Dhaka Capitals and Rajshahi Royals, players of both the teams were doing warm-up. Meanwhile, Capitals’ assistant coach Mehboob Ali Zaki suffered a heart attack. The team’s medical staff attended him and also gave CPR. When there was no effect, he was taken to the hospital in an ambulance parked in the field. The doctor declared him dead as soon as he checked.

As soon as Mehboob Ali fell, all the players were shocked, the situation became tense for some time and an atmosphere of chaos was created. In an official statement from Dhaka Capitals, it has been said that he was not feeling well during training. He fell on the field itself. Before taking him to the hospital, he was given CPR on the field itself, but it had no effect.

Bangladesh Cricket Board expressed grief

Bangladesh Cricket Board has also expressed grief over the tragic demise of Mehboob Ali Zaki. The board said that “We are deeply saddened by the demise of the pace bowling coach of Bangladesh Cricket Board and assistant coach of Dhaka Capitals. He died today at 1 pm. His contribution to fast bowling cannot be forgotten. He will always be remembered with the utmost respect. Bangladesh Board stands with his family in this difficult time.”
