Patna : Bihar Public Service Commission i.e. BPSC has declared the result of 70th Combined Main Examination. Out of 20034 candidates who appeared in the main examination, 5401 candidates have been declared successful. These successful candidates will now be called for interview and after the interview the final merit list will be released.
Where to see the results? , Actually, the main examination was conducted between 25 April to 30 April 2025 at 32 examination centers in Patna. The Controller of Examinations of the Commission said that the result has been released as per the prescribed procedure. Recruitment is to be done on 2035 posts: A total of 2035 posts are to be appointed under this vacancy. According to reports, an average of 10 candidates per post have been selected for interview. The interview will be of 120 marks and its date will be notified soon.
If we look at the entire selection process 4.83 lakh candidates had applied for the preliminary examination. On December 13, 3,28,990 candidates appeared for the preliminary examination at 912 centres. The examination, which was canceled due to the uproar in the Bapu examination complex, was re-conducted on January 4 at 22 centres. In which 5900 out of 12000 candidates had participated.
Prelims result came on 24th January: The result of BSC 70th Prelims exam was released on 24 January. A total of 21581 candidates were successful in it. The category wise success figures were as follows. There are 9017 candidates from General Category, 3295 from Scheduled Caste, 211 from Scheduled Tribe, 2793 from Backward Class, 3515 from Extremely Backward Class, 601 from Backward Women Category, 561 from Disabled Category, 2149 from Economically Weaker Section and 280 candidates from Freedom Fighters quota.
Final merit list after interview: The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of 900 marks of main examination and 120 marks of interview, i.e. the result will be prepared on the basis of total 1020 marks. The result will be released according to the reservation category only. If a candidate has equal marks then the one whose marks are higher will be placed higher in the merit list.
