BPSC APO Recruitment 2026: Application starts for 300 posts

Good news has come for the youth preparing for government jobs in Bihar. Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has started the online application process for recruitment to 300 posts of Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO). Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official website of the Commission.

Economically Weaker Section (EWS) – 29 Posts

Scheduled Caste (SC) – 42 posts

Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 7 posts

Extremely Backward Class (EBC) – 64 Posts

Backward Class (BC) – 25 posts

Backward Class Women – 4 Posts

This reservation will be implemented as per the rules of the state government.

Who can apply?

To apply, it is mandatory for the candidate to have a graduation degree from a recognized university.

The age limit will be calculated on the basis of 01 August 2026.

The minimum age to fill the form will be 21 years and the maximum age will be 37 years.

Reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in maximum age limit as per rules.

What will the selection process be like?

Candidates will be selected on the basis of three stages-

preliminary examination

main exam

Interview

Two papers will be conducted in the preliminary examination-

Paper-1: Questions of 100 marks

Paper-2: Questions of 150 marks

Candidates successful in the preliminary examination will be invited for the main examination. After this the final selection will be done on the basis of interview.
