New Delhi : Condemning the lathicharge on Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) candidates, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Thursday targeted the state government and alleged that this act was carried out to hide the failure of the government.

Candidates claiming that the question papers of the Joint Preliminary Examination (PSC) conducted by BPSC on December 13 were leaked, protested in Patna on Wednesday demanding cancellation of the examination, during which the police resorted to lathi charge.

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajeev Mishra had told the media that policemen had to lathi charge the protesters when some of them broke the barricades and reached the BPSC office and disrupted traffic.
