Brad Pitt to Star & Produce David Ayer’s Heart of the Beast

Academy Award winner Brad Pitt has officially signed on for the leading role in Paramount Pictures’ upcoming action-adventure movie Heart of the Beast. Further details about his character are still being kept under wraps.

This marks Pitt’s latest high-profile movie after reuniting with George Clooney in Apple Studios’ Wolfs. He is currently in production for the upcoming sports action drama F1 with Damson Idris. Pitt also recently executive produced last year’s horror comedy sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, which featured the return of Michael Keaton. His next project as an executive producer is Bong Joon-ho’s sci-fi black comedy Mickey 17 led by Robert Pattinson.

What is Brad Pitt’s Heart of the Beast about?

“The film centers on a former Army Special Forces Soldier and his retired combat dog who battle for survival after a plane crash deep in the unforgiving Alaskan wilderness,” reads the official synopsis.

Heart of the Beast will be directed by David Ayer (Suicide Squad) from a screenplay written by executive producer Cameron Alexander, with Oscar-winning filmmaker Damien Chazelle (La La Land, Whiplash) serving as a producer. This marks Ayer and Chazelle’s latest collaboration with Pitt. Ayer originally worked with the acclaimed actor in 2014’s war movie Fury, while Chazelle directed him in 2022’s period drama Babylon. It will also be produced by Pitt for Plan B Entertainment, Olivia Hamilton for Wild Chickens Productions, Ayer for Crave Films, and Richard Raymond. The project is part of Wild Chickens Productions’ first-look deal with Paramount Pictures.
