Sikandar Raza’s record broken
This innings of Brian Bennett was special in many ways. During this period, he also broke the big record of Zimbabwe’s experienced all-rounder Sikandar Raza. Bennett has now become the batsman with the highest individual score for Zimbabwe in T20 World Cup history. Earlier this achievement was in the name of Raza, who had scored 82 runs against Ireland in the year 2022. The confidence with which Bennett batted on the spin-friendly pitch of Chepauk also challenged the strategies of Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav. He attacked both fast and spin bowlers equally and hit many brilliant sixes.
