In Muzaffarpur district, on Thursday, the surveillance team arrested Junior Engineer (JE) Aman Kumar, posted in Sahebganj Municipal Council, red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 9,000. This is the third major action against corruption in the district within the last 72 hours, which has created a stir in the administrative departments.

What is the whole matter? : : Actually, Rajkumar Tiwari, resident of Ward No. 12 (Village-Nahi) of Sahebganj Municipal Council, had lodged a written complaint in the Special Monitoring Unit located in Patna. It was alleged in the complaint that JE Aman Kumar was demanding a bribe of Rs 9,000 in lieu of payment for the paver block work done in his area and the related paperwork.
Network of monitoring department: After the authenticity of the complaint was found true in the investigation, the surveillance department formed a trap team. As per the planned plan, as soon as Aman Kumar accepted the bribe amount from the complainant on Thursday, the pre-deployed surveillance team caught him on the spot. The team recovered the entire amount of bribe from the accused. Monitoring station case number-07/2026 has been registered in this regard.
