BRICS 2026: China bows before India! Dragon said such a big thing on Modi’s leadership
BRICS Summit 2026: Amidst the increasing geopolitical tension across the world, the command of the BRICS summit to be held this year is in the hands of India. While on one hand the eyes of the whole world are fixed on New Delhi, on the other hand the neighboring country China has given a statement which has created a stir in international politics. China has not only supported India’s chairmanship, but also described India’s role for global peace as “commendable”.
China’s support to India: Will the equation change?
Recently, Zhai Jun, special envoy of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, met Indian officials in New Delhi. In this important meeting held on 23 April 2026, China made it clear that it fully respects India’s BRICS chairmanship. China believes that if two big developing countries like India and China come together, it will prove to be a ‘game changer’ for reducing tensions in the Middle East and for global peace. In this discussion held in the presence of Chinese Ambassador Xu Feihong, emphasis was laid on regional stability.
Putin will come to India, Modi will go to Russia!
This time’s BRICS conference is also special because Russian President Vladimir Putin is likely to visit India, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi may also visit Russia. Both the close friends are preparing to write new equations for the world together. Indian Foreign Ministry Secretary Neena Malhotra also appreciated China’s support and said that India is fully prepared to work together with other BRICS countries, including China, to reduce regional tensions.
Special theme of BRICS 2026 and growing family
Hosted by India, this year’s theme has been ‘Reliance, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability’. India’s aim is not to be limited to just economic discussions, but to strongly present the voice of digital technology, green energy and developing countries (Global South) in front of the world. Let us tell you that by 2026, BRICS is no longer a group of just 5 countries, but it has become a big family of 11 powerful countries. It includes new members like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia and Indonesia, who have a huge world market and unlimited resources of oil and gas.
Increased tension between America and western countries
The growing power of BRICS has given America and western countries sleepless nights. The biggest reason for this is ‘De-dollarization’. BRICS countries are now emphasizing on doing business in their local currencies. If the dollar’s dominance wanes, the US economy’s global grip could weaken. Western countries fear that India and China can use this platform to increase their power. This is a golden opportunity for India where it will have to play the role of world leader by creating an efficient balance between America, Russia and China.
