BRICS Summit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Russian President Putin in Kazan, bilateral meeting held between the leaders

BRICS Summit : Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had reached Kazan city of Russia to attend the BRICS Summit, was warmly welcomed. The citizens of Russia sang Krishna hymns in his honour. Along with the BRICS conference, the eyes of the whole world are also focused on which heads of countries PM Modi will hold bilateral meetings with in Russia. India's Ambassador to Russia Vinay Kumar has said that PM Modi will hold bilateral meetings with counterparts of BRICS member countries in Kazan. Indian expatriates also met PM Modi. BRICS summit will be held in Kazan on 23 and 24 October

PM Modi said, congratulations for the chairmanship of BRICS. BRICS has created a distinct identity in 15 years. Many countries want to join it. I look forward to attending the BRICS summit tomorrow.

During his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, PM Narendra Modi said, “I express my heartfelt gratitude for your friendship, warm welcome and hospitality. It is a great pleasure for me to have the opportunity to come to a beautiful city like Kazan for the BRICS Summit.

Speaking on the Russia-Ukraine war, the PM said, I have been in constant touch with you on the issue of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. As I have said earlier, we believe that problems should be solved peacefully. We support the restoration of peace and stability. Our efforts give priority to humanity. India is ready for every possible cooperation in the coming times.

In the bilateral meeting, President Vladimir Putin said, the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission is to be held in Delhi on December 12. Our projects are constantly evolving. We welcome your decision to open a Consulate in Kazan. Our cooperation will benefit from India's policies. We are very happy that you and your delegation came to Russia.

Before the Russia visit, Prime Minister Modi had said, “I am going on a two-day visit to Kazan on the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. I will participate in the 16th BRICS Summit. India attaches great importance to close cooperation within BRICS. “BRICS has emerged as an important platform for dialogue and discussion on issues such as the global development agenda, multilateralism, climate change, economic cooperation, building strong supply chains, promoting cultural and people-to-people ties.”
