Bringing supplementary budget every time is a wrong tradition: Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey
Lucknow. Leader of the Opposition in the UP Assembly, Mata Prasad Pandey, while discussing the Supplementary Budget, said that when the original budget is presented, a complete estimate is made as to how much money will be spent and how much revenue will be received. But now it is being seen that supplementary budget is being brought again and again which is not right. This is a wrong tradition. He said that a large part of the original budget presented in 2025-26 has not been fully spent. In such a situation, bringing supplementary budget again and again is a wrong tradition.

Questions raised regarding “Namami Gange”
The Leader of Opposition said that budget is being given continuously for Namami Gange but till now it is not known where the money is being spent. Whenever you ask questions, they say that work is going on. The Leader of Opposition said that big criminals are being controlled in the state but small criminals are not being controlled at all. These people have met people associated with power, hence nothing happens against them. Poor people are troubled by this. Similarly, the public is troubled by the corruption prevalent in police stations and tehsils in the state. This should be fixed. Poor people are troubled by this. These are centers of corruption. They continue pursuing each case for many years.
Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey said that the government should work with equanimity. The Chief Minister takes an oath that he will work without discrimination, with a pure conscience, without fear and favour, and the house is demolished with a bulldozer. To what extent is this justified? It should also be seen how much the public representatives follow the oath they take. He said that it is important for public representatives to treat everyone equally.
Leader of Opposition demands, Indian government should take effective action on Bangladesh issue
After Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s speech, Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey raised a counter question as to how the Leader of the House knew that the person who was murdered in Bangladesh was a Dalit. India has given asylum to Sheikh Hasina. We demand that the Indian government take effective action on the Bangladesh issue.
