Brixton Bikes: Bullet…KTM, everyone will get competition! This bike went to India

New Delhi: Austrian motorcycle manufacturer Brixton has launched four of its premium bikes, making a grand entry in the Indian market. These bikes include the Crossfire and Cromwell range of motorcycles, which are priced between Rs 4.74 lakh to Rs 9.11 lakh (ex-showroom). These bikes will compete with high-capacity bikes from Royal Enfield, Harley-Davidson 450X, and KTM.

Crossfire 500X and 500XC: Sporty look and strong performance

The Crossfire range is Brixton's neo-retro roadster series, which comes with a sporty design and modern features. Prices for the 500X start at Rs 4.74 lakh and the 500XC starts at Rs 5.19 lakh. Both the bikes have a 486 cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, which generates 46 bhp power and 43 Nm torque.

Sporting a sporty and rugged design, the 500X gets low body panels and a retro-style single-piece seat. At the same time, the 500XC comes with better suspension and larger front wheels for adventure. Both the bikes have a 6-speed transmission and dual-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS), which provides better safety.

Cromwell 1200 and 1200X: Brixton's high-capacity bikes

Cromwell series are heavy category motorcycles, which have a large engine of 1222 cc. The Cromwell 1200 is priced at Rs 7.84 lakh, while the off-road focused 1200X is priced at Rs 9.11 lakh. Only 100 units of the 1200X variant will be available, making it the most exclusive bike from Brixton in India.

The Cromwell has a sculpted fuel tank, round mirrors, and a classic design, while the 1200X has unique features like gold rims and a metal windshield. Modern technologies like traction control, cruise control and two riding modes (Eco and Sport) make it even more attractive.

Its 1222 cc parallel-twin engine produces 82 bhp power and 108 Nm torque, making it perfect for long trips and off-road riding.

Brixton plans in India

Initially, these bikes will be brought to India through the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route and will be assembled at the KAW Veloce Motors factory in Kolhapur. Their price is slightly higher than this. But the company is planning to start local production in India, due to which the prices are expected to reduce in the coming time.

Brixton's new bikes will compete directly with Royal Enfield's 650 series, Harley-Davidson 450X, and KTM's big bikes. All these brands are already popular in the Indian market. Brixton aims to make its place in the market with its premium features and strong performance.

Delivery and availability

Delivery of these bikes will start from January 2025. The initial models have been launched keeping in mind the premium customers.

The entry of Brixton in the Indian market shows that competition in the premium bike segment is going to increase further. The company is trying to win the trust of customers through its local production plan and technical features.
