Brooks takes another shot at LeBron: “Jordan is the GOAT”

The debate over who is the greatest basketball player of all time has gained another – and fairly predictable – chapter courtesy of Dillon Brooks. Speaking to Ray Live TVthe Canadian wing made it very clear that he considers Michael Jordan superior to LeBron James, reigniting a rivalry that has been simmering for years.

Michael Jordan is simply more efficient when it comes to winning. He has more championships and more defining wins. He played six or seven fewer seasons than LeBron James. Michael Jordan won three straight titles twice. LeBron never even repeated

Dillon Brooks

Brooks’ argument is built around the same statistical pillars that have divided basketball fans and analysts for decades. On one side stands Jordan’s flawless Finals record: 6-0 with two legendary three-peats for the Chicago Bulls.

On the other is the unmatched longevity of LeBron Jamesnow coming off his 23rd NBA season. His résumé includes four championships with three different franchisesbut lacks the kind of uninterrupted dynasty-building dominance that made MJ mythical.

For Brooks, the concentration of Jordan’s success in a shorter time span – 15 seasons compared to LeBron’s 23 – tips the scale decisively toward Chicago’s icon.

A rivalry built on provocation

The immediate viral reaction to Brooks’ comments comes as no surprise given the long history between him and LeBron. Few players in today’s NBA have challenged James as aggressively, both on the court and through the media.

Even during these playoffs, Brooks drew attention for prolonged stare-downs with LeBron while sitting courtside during Game 4 between the Lakers and the Thunder – behavior entirely consistent with a player who previously labeled James “the most overrated player in the league”.

And yet, within this strange relationship fueled by trash talk and constant provocation, Brooks has occasionally shown flashes of respect. In the past, he included LeBron in his personal “Mount Rushmore” of basketball and admitted that competing against the NBA’s biggest superstar brings unmatched attention and intensity.
