Bruno Fernandes drops a new transfer bombshell; “It hurts me a lot”

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has delivered a powerful and emotional message about his future, loyalty, and commitment to the club amid ongoing criticism and growing interest from Saudi Arabia.

Speaking in a recent interview with Portuguese outlet Canal 11, Fernandes admitted that a move to Saudi Arabia could be a possibility one day, but strongly rejected the idea that money has ever driven his decisions. The experienced man acknowledged the lifestyle benefits such a move could bring, particularly for his family, highlighting the appeal of better weather and a growing football league featuring renowned players.

“If one day I have to play in Saudi Arabia, I’ll play in Saudi Arabia,” Fernandes said. “My lifestyle will change, my children’s lives will be sunny, after six years in Manchester with cold and rain.”

“I could have left like many people do and said: ‘I want to leave,’” he added. “But I never did that because I felt the empathy and affection I had for the club were the same.”

Fernandes also opened up about the personal toll criticism has taken on him, especially given his availability and commitment on the pitch. The United skipper expressed sadness at being targeted despite consistently giving his all for the badge.

“It hurts me a bit. More than hurting, it makes me sad,” Fernandes said. “I’m always available, I always play, good or bad. I give my all.”
