The convocation parade ceremony of new constables batch number 255, 256, 257 and PTS II was organized at Assistant Training Centre, Border Security Force, Jodhpur on Saturday. In this, a total of 740 new reservists took oath to maintain the unity and integrity of the country by being dutiful towards the Indian Constitution and dedicated themselves to the country. The chief guest of the convocation was Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. He inspected the grand parade and took the salute.

Shekhawat said that today you have joined the mainstream of a force which is deployed in the snowy peaks of Kashmir, the scorching desert of Jaisalmer, the marshy area of ​​Rann of Kutch, the difficult terrain of Sundarbans and the dense forests of North Eastern India. . Despite these difficult geographical and adverse conditions, the brave border guards of the Border Security Force are protecting the borders with full alertness. BSF is the world’s largest border guarding force which is also known as ‘India’s first line of defense’.

He said that we feel proud whenever we take the name of BSF. Just a few years after its formation in 1965, the force demonstrated its bravery and devotion to duty in the 1971 war. This force is making an important contribution in the security of the country’s borders as well as in the internal security of the country.

IG ML Garg said that during 44 weeks of hard work and discipline-filled training, these new constables were trained in PT, Yoga, Drill, Weapons, Tactics, Map Reading, Disaster Management, Cyber ​​Security, Law, Border Management as well as Internal Security. By giving security training, he has transformed from an ordinary youth into a trained borderman. Various types of games and competitions have been an important part of the training of these new reservists to develop personality development, sportsmanship and team spirit. These new constables have not only been strengthened physically and mentally during the training, but have also been completely sensitized about respect for human values ​​and human rights. They have been prepared not only for the security of the borders but also to perform any responsibility that the Government of India may assign to them.

Those who performed excellently received medals

For their excellent performance during training, Neo-Conservator Amit Kumar, Neo-Conservator Piyush, Neo-Conservator Shivam Pandey and Neo-Conservator Basant Upadhyay were all decorated with gold medals for securing overall first position in their respective batches. New constable Suraj Bora led the grand parade and received the medal for Best in Drill. Brave women were also honored on this occasion.
