Amritsar : The Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday (December 21) recovered 1 drone and 2 heroin consignments in two separate incidents in the border area of Firozpur and Amritsar districts of Punjab. According to a statement from the security force, the BSF Intelligence Wing conducted a search operation early this morning in which around 545 grams of heroin was recovered in Ferozepur.
The BSF statement said that based on information from the BSF Intelligence Wing, the search operation conducted by the BSF troops concluded at around 08:35 am today, resulting in the recovery of suspected heroin ( Total weight- 01 packet of 545 grams) has been recovered.
Talking about another incident in Amritsar, the force said 544 grams of heroin was seized from an agricultural village in the afternoon. “Acting on information received from BSF Intelligence Wing, alert BSF troops recovered 01 drone DJI Mavic 3 Classic along with 01 packet of suspected heroin (total weight – 544 grams),” the statement said.
What did BSF say?
“The consignment was wrapped with 01 copper wire loop with yellow adhesive tape and 02 light strips attached to the packet,” BSF said. Earlier on December 89, BSF Punjab successfully neutralized an infiltrator drone at Amritsar border and recovered a heroin packet. The BSF statement said, “The search operation based on BSF intelligence ended at around 07:10 am with the recovery of a packet of suspected heroin (total weight – 580 grams) from a field adjacent to Ballaharwal village in Amritsar district.” Happened. The drug packet was wrapped in yellow adhesive tape and had a nylon loop attached to it.”

In the previous incident also, a DJI Mavic 3 drone was recovered from Daoke village in Amritsar district in the early morning. The statement said, “BSF troops, acting on intelligence, recovered a DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone from a field adjacent to Daoke village in Amritsar district at around 08:50 am. It is believed that the drone was shot down due to timely activation of technical counter measures deployed on the border.”
