BSP’s big bet before UP 2027, Mayawati changed the equation of the party after Naseemuddin joined Samajwadi Party.

digital desk- Political activity has intensified regarding the 2027 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. On Sunday, as soon as Naseemuddin Siddiqui, a former senior leader of Bahujan Samaj Party and cabinet minister in the Mayawati government, joined the Samajwadi Party, the BSP also gave a strong message by making a major reshuffle in the organization. National President of Bahujan Samaj Party Mayawati has made organizational changes and assigned important responsibilities to her trusted leaders. According to the official information released by the party, senior leader Naushad Ali has been given the responsibility of four important divisions of Uttar Pradesh, Meerut, Agra, Lucknow and Kanpur. Whereas Jafar Malik has been made in-charge of Saharanpur, Moradabad and Aligarh divisions.

National responsibility to Ashok Siddharth

The most important name in the organizational reshuffle is Ashok Siddharth. Ashok Siddharth, who is also Akash Anand’s father-in-law, has been made in-charge of Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat and Kerala, increasing his stature in the party. Earlier this responsibility was with Ramji Gautam. Political analysts believe that by bringing forward Ashok Siddharth in the frontline leadership, Mayawati has clearly indicated that trusted and close faces will get priority in the party.

Focus on Dalit-Muslim equation

Political experts say that by giving the responsibility of important divisions like Meerut, Agra, Lucknow, Kanpur, Saharanpur, Moradabad and Aligarh to Muslim leaders, Mayawati has indicated to reactivate the formula of her old Dalit-Muslim alliance. BSP’s strategy is clear to strengthen the organizational structure (cadre) and bring the party into election mode up to the booth level. Organizational change is not limited to Uttar Pradesh only. Munkad Ali, Girish Chandra Jatav and Aadesh Kumar have been entrusted with important responsibilities in Uttarakhand. Munkad Ali and Adesh Kumar will share the charge of the entire state, while Girish Chandra Jatav has been made in-charge of Nainital and Almora Lok Sabha constituencies.

political message clear

This step of BSP is being seen as a counter strategy after Naseemuddin Siddiqui joining Samajwadi Party. The party has tried to indicate that it is not afraid of any political shock. Now it will be interesting to see how much this organizational reshuffle benefits BSP in the 2027 election battle and whether this new move of Mayawati will be able to strengthen her hold in the politics of Uttar Pradesh again.
