Budha Pradosh Vrat 2026 date

According to the Vedic calendar, the Trayodashi date of Krishna Paksha of Vaishakh month has started from 12:12 am on 14th April. This date will last till 10:31 pm on 15th April. Keeping in mind the Pradosh period, the fast is being observed on 15th April, Wednesday, hence it is called Budh Pradosh Vrat.

Auspicious time of Budh Pradosh Vrat 2026

Pradosh period is considered to be the best time to worship Pradosh Vrat. On this day, the auspicious time for puja will be from 6:56 pm to 9:13 pm. Worshiping Lord Shiva during this time is considered more fruitful.

Worship method of Pradosh Vrat

To observe this fast, wake up early in the morning, take bath and wear clean clothes. Meditate on Lord Shiva while fasting the whole day.
Start the puja in the evening during Pradosh Kaal. Offer water, milk and Belpatra on Shivalinga.
After this, chant the mantra “Om Namah Shivay” with devotion. During puja, keep your mind calm and express your wishes to God.
