Ten killed as bus catches fire after collision in Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad: At least ten passengers were charred to death after a private bus caught fire following a collision with a tipper lorry near Rayavaram village in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday morning. Several others sustained injuries.
According to reports, the bus was travelling from Hyderabad to Pamuru when it collided with a granite-laden truck coming from Cheemakurthy at a turn. The impact triggered a fire, trapping passengers inside the vehicle.
At least ten passengers were burnt alive in the incident, while around ten others managed to escape from the burning bus.
The accident reportedly occurred around 6.30 am. Local residents and police personnel rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals.
