Bushra Ansari clarifies her remarks on son-in-law
Senior actress Bushra Ansari has clarified her statement about her sons-in-law, stating that she was referring to one son-in-law, not both.
In December 2024, Bushra Ansari, in her vlog, criticized those who demand dowry, calling them “shameless.” She revealed that she had provided homes for her daughters’ husbands for the sake of her daughters, but they failed to appreciate the gesture.
She mentioned that she had arranged an apartment for her daughter and, considering her sons-in-law like her own sons, provided them with support out of love. However, she described them as ungrateful. Without naming them, she labeled her sons-in-law as “shameless.”
Now, in her latest vlog, she clarified that her remarks were directed at one son-in-law, not both.
According to Bushra Ansari, her statement had nothing to do specifically with her daughters and their problems but was a reflection on the issues of society, saying everyone commits mistakes; parents, in particular, should not commit mistakes.
She said that men should realize that if they can’t support their wife financially, then they should not marry at all, and that women should also realize that if they marry someone unstable financially, then he’d never be able to keep them happy.
She acknowledged her own mistakes, stating that all parents make errors but should avoid over-supporting their daughters after marriage to the extent that their sons-in-law become a burden and fail to acknowledge their favors.
Bushra Ansari disclosed that her two daughters, Mira Ansari and Nirman Ansari, are married, but one of them is facing marital issues. She specifically mentioned that her daughter Nirman’s marriage, after 20 years, is going through challenges, which has been an eye-opener for her.
She refrained from sharing further details for the sake of her children and grandchildren but clarified that her other daughter, Mira Ansari, is happily living with her husband in New York. She praised her son-in-law in New York, describing him as a good man.
