Business: Infosys' profit increased by 5 percent to Rs 5 crore and reached Rs 6,506 crore.

In the second quarter of the current financial year, Infosys, the country's largest exporter in the IT sector, earned Rs. Net profit of Rs 6,506 crore.

Which is Rs. Net profit of Rs 6,212 crore showing a growth of 5 percent. During the quarter under review the company earned Rs. Revenue stood at Rs 40,986 crore, showing a growth of 5 per cent year-on-year. The company raised its revenue growth forecast for 2024-25 to 4.5 percent from 3.75 percent. This estimate has been made on the basis of several big deals signed by the company recently. Earlier the company had estimated that its revenue would increase by 3 to 4 percent in the current financial year. The company has paid Rs. It has also declared an interim dividend of Rs 21 for which the record date has been set for October 29. The number of employees of the company increased by 2,456 to 3,17,000 in the quarter ending September. For the first time after six quarters, the number of employees of the company has increased in any quarter.
