Business journalist Sucheta Dalal's response to the firing of Indian-origin Apple employees.

Delhi Delhi. Indians are often proud of the growing popularity of Indians in Silicon Valley. America's major tech companies have a significant number of Indian or Indian-origin employees.

Apple fired Indian origin employees

Many people have achieved different heights to reach the top administration of these companies. Recently a report came out which put some people to shame. iPhone maker Apple, the world's largest company, has reportedly fired Indian-origin employees because they did not participate in a donation scheme for their personal gain. Many of these employees were of Indian origin, who sent the grant money to themselves.

What was the plan?

Under this initiative, Apple matches the amount donated by an employee to an eligible charity with the same amount the employee donates.

Some US employees, including some with ties to the Indian community, allegedly recorded donations and arranged for the money to be repatriated to themselves while working with certain charity organisations.

According to a report in Times of India, Telugu Association of North America (TANA) is on the radar. The US FBI is investigating him for soliciting and receiving grants from various corporations.

Some X users reacting to Sucheta Dalal said the following. One user said, “Upbringing in a corrupt environment.” Another user said, “Culturized civilization stuff.”

Another user said dejectedly, “We are in Kalyug. We are in an age where you become a thief only when you are caught stealing, by then you are a smart person! The real question is who will stop them from stealing. Why was the need felt? What were their circumstances?”

“Most people nowadays are brought up like this. Right from childhood, they accept it as a way of life. Hardly any work is done without greed. If you are weak (like a person buying a house against a builder) , So the whole system is aligned with the powerful. This is what people have been seeing since the beginning!”, said another X user.
