Now buying Maruti Suzuki will be expensive, new prices will be applicable from August 1

The country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has given a big shock to the customers. From August 1, 2026, all Maruti Suzuki cars are going to become costlier by Rs 30,000. Regarding this, the company says that due to the rising prices of raw materials and continuous increase in production costs, they have to take this decision. Although the company has taken many steps to reduce costs in the last several months, but due to rising prices of raw materials, now the company is going to increase the prices of cars.

According to Maruti Suzuki company, due to continuous increase in steel, aluminium, precious metals, other raw materials, logistics and operational expenses, it has become difficult for the company to sell cars at old prices. This is the reason why the company has taken this decision.

There will be different increase on each model car

The company has clarified that there will not be a uniform increase in the prices of all the models of Maruti Suzuki. The price will increase according to different cars and variants. This simply means that some models will see less increase and some will see more increase. But the company has made it clear that the maximum price will be increased to Rs 30,000 only.

Even in May 2026, the company had said that it is making continuous efforts to reduce costs. Whereas in February 2026, Maruti had said that the prices of many essential raw materials including gold, silver and other precious metals are continuously increasing. In such a situation, the company was considering another increase in prices. At the same time, the impact of this news was also seen in the stock market. At around 3:29 pm on Tuesday, Maruti shares were seen trading at Rs 13,630 on BSE with a rise of Rs 122.55.

There is good demand for these models in India

When the new prices of Maruti Suzuki are implemented, you may have to pay more than before. In India, Maruti Suzuki cars like Alto K10, WagonR, Swift, Baleno, Brezza, Fronx, Dzire, Ertiga and Grand Vitara are in good demand across the country.
