BWF appeals to UN for action for the safety of Baloch women, makes serious allegations against Pakistan…

Baloch Women Forum (BWF) through its letter has demanded serious intervention from international human rights organizations and United Nations on the violation of women’s rights in Balochistan. The Forum particularly raised concerns about the cases of enforced disappearance of Baloch women, including the cases of Khadija Baloch, Haseena Noor Bakhsh and Gul Banuk Taj.

Let us tell you, BWF said that Baloch women are allegedly being disappeared by people associated with the government and this is part of a systematic targeting process. The Forum accused the Government of Pakistan that this is a part of atrocities against women and these atrocities have been going on for a long time.

The case of Khadija Baloch, a nursing student of Bolan Medical College, Quetta, is in the news at the moment. She was allegedly forcefully taken away from her hostel. Similarly, Haseena Noor Bakhsh, a housewife from Karachi, was forcibly disappeared from her home. Apart from this, the case of Gul Banuk Taj has also come to light, who was the housewife of Singabad Tejaban of Ketch. He was kidnapped from his home and yet no information was given to his family.

BWF says that these incidents may be due to a strategy approved by the Pakistan government, due to which the voices of Baloch women are being suppressed by bringing them under fear and pressure.

The forum said that these incidents prove that Baloch women are being deprived of their rights and are being deprived of basic human rights. They have appealed to the UN, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and other international organizations to immediately investigate these cases and hold those responsible accountable.

BWF has appealed to take immediate action against this atrocities and discrimination against Baloch women and said that the intervention of human rights organizations around the world is necessary in this matter. This step will not only be towards justice for Baloch women but will also send a strong message on human rights violations in Pakistan.
