BYD Unveils Silion 7 Electric SUV at India Global Expo 2025
New Delhi New Delhi: BYD (Build Your Dreams) made a bold statement with the India debut of the BYD Celion 7, an all-electric coupe-SUV, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi. With bookings starting at a token amount of ₹70,000, the Sealed 7 is BYD's fourth offering in India, joining the Sealed, Atto 3 and eMax 7 models. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in March, and prices are expected to be announced much earlier.
Customers booking by February 17 get exclusive benefits including a discount of ₹70,000, 7 years warranty and a free 7kW AC charger. Positioned above the Celeron sedan, the Celeron 7 is expected to rival models like the Kia EV6, setting a new benchmark in the premium EV segment.
The Sealion 7 has a MIDC certified range of up to 567 kilometers and is offered in two variants: Premium and Performance. Both variants are powered by an 82.5kWh LFP blade battery, with the Premium variant producing 313hp and 380Nm in rear-wheel-drive configuration, while the Performance variant produces an impressive 530hp and 690Nm via all-wheel drive. With a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 4.5 seconds, BYD claims the Silion 7's electric motor is the fastest in mass production.
Superlative in design, the Sealion 7 features Ocean-X styling, a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, connected car technology and exciting features like ventilated seats, panoramic glass roof and ADAS suite. The SUV has a boot space of 520 litres, which can be expanded up to 1,789 litres.
