Cabinet Minister Mohinder and Cultural Affairs Department Advisor Deepak left the special train for Haridwar.

Punjab Horticulture, Freedom Fighters and Defense Services Welfare Minister Mohinder Bhagat and Advisor, Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department Deepak Bali today flagged off the Damdi Yatra under the leadership of Sant Nirmal Das Ji Jodewale, Sant Pragat Nath and other saints-great men from the local city railway station to Haridwar through a special train. On this occasion, MLA Chabbewal Dr. Ishank Kumar and District Planning Committee Chairman Amritpal Singh were also present.

While addressing the Cabinet Minister, he called upon the people to adopt the teachings of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji in their lives to create an egalitarian society. He said that Shri Guru Ravidas ji gave the message of mutual love and brotherhood to the entire humanity. He said that Guru ji’s teachings will always guide the entire public, giving us the message of rising above the discrimination of caste, religion and race.

Shri Bhagat said that tireless efforts are being made by the Punjab Government to take this universal message of Guru Ravidas Ji to every corner of the world. He also said that the state government has prepared extensive programs to celebrate the upcoming 650th Prakash Parv of Guru Ravidas Ji on a large scale.

Deepak Bali, advisor of the Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department, wished the Sangats all the best for the Damri Yatra. He said that that community always moves forward and progresses, which remembers its gurus, saints and follows the path shown by them. He said that the Punjab government is also continuously working for the welfare and prosperity of every section of the society following the path shown by our great gurus and saints.

On this occasion, Saint Satvinder Hira, Sister Santosh, ‘AAP’ leader Rajvinder Kaur Thiyada, Dinesh Dhall, apart from Sant Samaj and a large number of Sangat were present.
