Called himself ‘Boss’ at G-7 summit, Trump says ‘I was just kidding’ amid controversy

A few days ago, on the sidelines of the G-7 conference, he puffed out his chest and said, “I am the boss.” He is US President Donald Trump. There was an uproar in the diplomatic circles around such a surprising comment. Trump appeared to explain his comments in this situation. He said, “I was just kidding. I didn’t want to be the boss.”

Incidentally, during the morning session on the last day of the three-day G-7 summit, when the other leaders took their seats, Trump stormed in and said, “I am the boss.” His fellow leaders laughed at the joke of the US President. “How are you?” asked French President Emmanuel Macron amid a smile. “Good, thank you,” Trump replied.

At the morning session on the final day of the three-day G7 summit, as other leaders took their seats, Trump stormed in and said, “I’m the boss.”

Recently, in an interview, that topic came up again. Trump was asked, “Did anyone believe what you said, you are the boss?” Responding, the US President made it clear that he had said this in pure jest. There is no point in giving importance to it. In his words, “Those who were there, all well-known personalities, heads of the country. Everyone was sitting, I went and said that I am the boss. It was just for fun. But everyone was talking about it. But my boss was not a target.”

A section of informed circles claimed that Trump might have been joking. But because of the nature of the sloppy comments, the noise was caused by this comment. And according to another part, Trump may have said the word thinking himself a ‘boss’. But he practically changed his tune from the beginning of the debate.
