Cameron Green included in the team against Hyderabad, see playing 11 of KKR vs SRH

The sixth match of the Indian Premier League 2026 (IPL 2026) is being played between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). This match is being held on April 2 at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. In this match, KKR won the toss and decided to bowl first. While Cricket Australia faced criticism for not allowing Cameron Green to bowl during the last match in Kolkata, it was expected that he would not get a place in the team this time. However, this did not happen. The KKR team has shown confidence in its unchanged playing 11.

Let us tell you that both KKR and SRH have faced defeat in their respective first matches. Therefore, both the teams are taking the field with the sole intention of winning this match. The team that wins this match will get its first two points of IPL 2026 and thus its account will open on the points table.

Rahane’s statement on Cameron Green

After winning the toss, Ajinkya Rahane said to Cameron Green, ‘We will bowl first. There is always room for improvement but we took a lot of positives from the last match, especially the batting unit did very well. As far as Cameron Green is concerned, he is doing whatever is necessary for his recovery. The physio and trainer are taking care of him. Very soon you will see him bowling. Today we are coming with the same team.

What is the Cameron Green controversy?

Actually, under its workload management policy, Cricket Australia has not allowed some Australian players to play in the initial matches of the IPL 2026 season. Which also includes Cameron Green. Although KKR included Green in their playing 11 for their first match, they used him only as a batsman and did not make him bowl.

After this, during the post-match presentation, when captain Ajinkya Rahane was asked the reason behind this decision, he simply replied, ‘You will have to ask the answer to this from Cricket Australia itself.’ Meanwhile, many cricket experts believe that considering the current situation, Kolkata should consider replacing Cameron Green with another player in the playing 11.
