Canada on the way to cancel the citizenship of terrorist Tahaur of 26/11! Big decision before Karni’s India tour

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is coming to India next Thursday. Before that, Ottawa made a big decision. Karni’s government started the process of revoking the citizenship of 26/11 terrorist and mastermind Tahaur Rana. Relations between the two countries deteriorated during the tenure of former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Evidence of Trudeau’s India-hating attitude was repeated. But Trudeau’s successor, Carney, was once again in evidence of his reluctance to follow that path. He is eager to fix relations with New Delhi.

According to Canadian media reports, the country’s Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC) office has already contacted Tahaur about the matter. Pak-origin Tahawwur Rana is currently imprisoned in India. He was the mastermind of 26/11. He was directly linked to Pakistan-backed terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. He landed in Canada in 1997. Then in 2001 he got Canadian citizenship.

But why has Canada decided to cancel Tahaur’s citizenship? According to the IRCC, citizenship was granted to Tahaur based on false information. They alleged that he had given a false address while applying for citizenship in 2000. According to the IRCC, while applying for citizenship, Tahaur had claimed to have lived in Ottawa and Toronto for the past four years. Spent only six days outside of Canada. But an investigation by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police revealed that Tahaur spent most of that time in Chicago, USA. He owned many properties there and was involved in various businesses. The case to revoke Tahaur’s citizenship is currently pending in the Federal Court of Canada. The court will take the final decision whether the citizenship of 26/11 Moolchakri will be revoked or not.
