The AutoPay feature available in UPI apps makes this facility even easier, as it automatically makes the payment on the scheduled date. However, sometimes users need to turn off AutoPay or pause it for some time after enabling it. In such a situation, it is important to know how to cancel or pause AutoPay in different UPI apps.

Many times, AutoPay remains active even after the subscription ends, due to which unwanted money keeps getting deducted every month. At the same time, some users want to manage auto debit manually to keep control on expenses. In such a situation, pausing or canceling AutoPay is the best option.
How to turn off UPI AutoPay on Paytm?
Managing AutoPay in Paytm app is very easy.
- step 1: First of all open Paytm app.
- Step 2: Go to the profile section and tap on the Automatic Payments option.
- Step 3: Here you will see a list of all active autopayments.
- Step 4: Select the AutoPay you want to close. After scrolling a little, you will get the option of ‘Pause’ or ‘Stop’.
In this way you can temporarily stop or completely stop the auto debit payment running on Paytm.
How to cancel AutoPay in PhonePe?
This process is quite simple for PhonePe users also.
- step 1: Open PhonePe app.
- Step 2: Go to profile and tap on Manage Payments.
- Step 3: Select Autopay option here, where all active AutoPay Mandates will be visible.
- Step 4: Select the auto payment you want to stop and click on Pause or Cancel.

How to turn off UPI AutoPay on Google Pay (GPay)?
AutoPay is also easy to control in Google Pay.
- step 1: Open the Google Pay app on your phone.
- Step 2: Go to profile and click on Autopay option.
- Step 3: In the Live tab you will see all the active AutoPay Mandates.
- Step 4: Select the AutoPay you want to close. Here you will get the options of Pause Autopay and Cancel Autopay.
If you want to stop payments for some time, choose Pause Autopay, while to stop it forever, choose Cancel Autopay.
