Captain’s statement came after the defeat from South Africa, Sky promised to return in the next match

Ahmedabad. Indian T-20 team captain Suryakumar Yadav said that we will come back strongly in the next match of Super Eight. After the 76-run defeat to South Africa, Suryakumar said, “Hopefully we will bat well, bowl well and field well. That’s all. We will try to keep it simple. We will play the cricket we want to play, nothing else will change and I think we will come back stronger.”

India’s 76-run defeat to South Africa ended its 12-match winning streak in the tournament and left the defending champions facing a tough road to reach the semi-finals. Now they have to win their remaining Super Eight matches against Zimbabwe and West Indies to stay in the competition. India will next face Zimbabwe in Chennai on Thursday.

Suryakumar said that the team will enter the field with its full strength and will also qualify for the knockout stage of the tournament. Regarding the defeat, he said, “Sometimes you have to think, if you are chasing 180-185 runs, you cannot win the game in the powerplay, but you can lose the game in the powerplay.
