Car crashes into funerary procession in Hanoi, kills one
A car collided with a funerary procession in Hanoi’s Phuc Tho District on Thursday morning, killing one person and injuring three others.
The incident occurred around 8:50 a.m. when a seven-seat car made a turn and struck a group of over 10 pedestrians taking part in the mourning procession. The collision killed a 65-year-old man instantly and left three others injured.
The driver is a 64-year-old resident, said Dang Van Lap, chairman of Hat Mon Commune.
Security footage shows the car turning slowly at the intersection before unexpectedly accelerating after completing the turn.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
