Case of bribery in cyber fraud against Sirsa policemen
Rajasthan ACB has registered a case against three suspended policemen of Sirsa. It is alleged that he collected Rs 6 lakh from the accused of cyber fraud. The investigation is ongoing and legal action will be taken soon.
Haryana: An FIR has been officially registered in Rajasthan against three suspended policemen of Sirsa district. This action has been taken on the instructions of Rajasthan Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Headquarters Jaipur. The case pertains to illegal recovery of money from the accused of cyber fraud and being caught with the cash amount.
According to ACB sources, now further investigation in this case has been intensified and the accused policemen may also be arrested soon. The name of another person has also been included in the FIR, who will be brought under the ambit of investigation.
The names of four policemen were sent to the headquarters
The names of four policemen in this case were sent to the Jaipur headquarters by the ACB Nagaur unit. These include PSI Surendra, Head Constable Virendra, Constable Jagjit Singh and another policeman.
At present, PSI Surendra, Head Constable Virendra and Constable Jagjit Singh have been suspended and kept in the police lines. All three are currently in line and facing departmental action. Rajasthan ACB SP Pushpendra Singh has confirmed that an FIR has been registered and investigation into the case is underway. Further action will be taken soon.
How the whole matter came to light
This entire matter is related to cyber fraud on a woman from Sirsa. The woman was lured to earn huge profits by completing tasks through Telegram app. On 8 December 2025, a call came from an unknown number and a Telegram link was sent.
The woman trusted and invested a total of Rs 9 lakh 18 thousand 100. After some time the app stopped and the woman realized that she had been cheated. While investigating the case, the police arrested two accused named Sagar from Udaipur district of Rajasthan and Vinod from Rajsamand district. Cash, mobile phones, laptops and debit cards were recovered from them.
Illegal extortion in Rajasthan
According to ACB, about 9 days ago the three policemen had reached Rajsamand district of Rajasthan. There they caught three youths and demanded Rs 20 lakh for their release. A young man was made to withdraw Rs 6 lakh from an ATM in Rajsamand and he was released. The remaining two youths were being taken to Sirsa. Meanwhile, the victim informed the ACB.
The policemen left for Sikar via Bhilwara and switched off their mobile phones on the way. Rajasthan ACB team stopped them near Kuchaman and recovered Rs 6 lakh in cash from the vehicle. During interrogation, the policemen claimed that the amount was for personal expenses, but the ACB rejected this argument.

PSI Surendra is an ex-serviceman and was posted in Cyber Police Station about seven months ago. He is a resident of Dhiktana village of Hisar district. Head constable Virendra and constable Jagjit Singh are residents of Fatehabad district. All three were posted only about a year ago. Now the investigation of Rajasthan ACB is going on in this entire matter and there is a possibility of strict legal action against the accused soon.
