Case of kidnapping, rape and murder of 11 year old girl in Mehrauli, Delhi, cab driver arrested.
A case of serious crime has come to light by a cab driver with an 11-year-old girl in Mehrauli area of Delhi. According to the police, the incident in which the girl was kidnapped from the footpath and murdered is under investigation. A Delhi Police official said that a cab driver has been arrested in this case. It also came to light that the accused had confessed to his crime during interrogation. According to the police, the incident occurred around 5 am on Monday morning, when the girl was sleeping on the footpath with her family. During this time she went missing. After some time, the family members came to know about his disappearance, after which they immediately informed the police. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police is investigating from all aspects and is also finding out how and under what circumstances the incident took place.
Clue of accused found from CCTV
According to a senior Delhi Police official, in view of the seriousness of the matter, several teams were immediately formed and the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the surrounding areas was scrutinized. On the basis of clues found during the investigation, the accused was identified as a cab driver. After this, the police took swift action and traced him and arrested him within a few hours.

According to DCP South Delhi Anant Mittal, the incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, when the girl was sleeping on the footpath with her family. After the police received the information, the search operation was started within about 15 minutes, but the girl could not be saved.
Police identified the accused’s cab within a few hours and arrested him at around 11:15 am. Later, during lengthy interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime. According to officials, at the behest of the accused, the girl’s body was recovered from Haryana and has been sent for postmortem. The investigation of the case is going on and all aspects are being investigated.
