Casino heiress Laurinda Ho’s husband Shawn Dou again absent from mother-in-law’s birthday celebration

According to The StandardChan celebrated her 72nd birthday on March 1. A photo shared on social media by Laurinda showed Chan wearing a white coat and smiling at the camera. Also present were Chan’s other daughter Florinda Ho and son Orlando Ho.

This marks the second time Dou has missed his mother-in-law’s birthday celebration, following a gathering in March 2024 when Chan turned 70. His repeated absence from his in-laws’ family events had previously fueled speculation about possible marital discord between him and Laurinda, whom he married in April 2023. Both have denied such rumors.

Dou, 38, rose to prominence after making his film debut in “Under the Hawthorn Tree,” directed by Zhang Yimou. He has since appeared in films and television dramas including “Dangerous Liaisons,” “Time to Love,” and “Princess Agents.”

Since his marriage to Laurinda, 35, Dou has continued focusing on his acting career, while his wife has largely remained in Hong Kong.

Chan, the third wife of Stanley, had an estimated net worth of US$1 billion in 2021, according to Forbes.
