‘Caught with a woman in bed’: Smriti Mandhana’s friends beat up Palaash Muchhal, claims Vidnyan; Palaash’s lawyer responds
Star Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and her love life with musician Palash Muchhal had been grabbing headlines for months. Social media was abuzz with their pre-wedding festivities, with haldi, mehendi and sangeet videos flooding Instagram and other platforms. The couple was all set to tie the knot on November 23, 2025.
However, on that fateful day, Smriti’s father was hospitalised after experiencing uneasiness. Following this, the wedding was temporarily put on hold, after which a wave of alleged cheating rumours surfaced, with several women coming forward with claims against Palash.
Several well-known influencers alleged that Palash was chatting with them while being in a relationship with Smriti Mandhana. Palash, too, was reportedly hospitalised during that period.
The wedding drama continued for over a month until Smriti officially announced that she had called off the wedding. Since then, she has been focusing entirely on her cricketing career.
Months after the wedding fallout, Smriti Mandhana’s childhood friend Vidnyan Mane has now made shocking claims, alleging that the singer was caught red-handed with another woman in bed. Apart from the wedding and cheating saga, Mane has also accused Muchhal of cheating him out of over Rs 40 lakh.
Smriti Mandhana’s friend on her wedding with Palash Muchhal: ‘Palash Muchhal caught red-handed’
Actor-producer Vidnyan Mane revealed what allegedly transpired between Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana days after their wedding was called off. Mane claimed that Muchhal cheated on Mandhana and alleged that the singer-composer was caught with another woman.
Reportedly, Palash Muchhal was beaten up by Smriti Mandhana’s friends following the incident.
Did Palash Muchhal cheat on Smriti Mandhana?
In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Mane alleged that Palash Muchhal cheated him of Rs 40 lakh in connection with producing an unreleased film. A complaint has reportedly been filed in Sangli, Maharashtra, in the matter.
Vidnyan Mane told the publication, “I was at the wedding celebrations on November 23, 2025, when he was caught red-handed with another woman in bed. Bhayanak scene tha. He was beaten up by Indian female cricketers. The entire family is chindi chor. I thought he would get married and settle in Sangli, but it completely backfired on me.”
He further alleged, “When I met his mother, Amita Muchhal, last month, she told me that the budget to release the film had increased to Rs 1.5 crore. They asked me to invest another ₹10 lakh, or I wouldn’t get any money back. They started blackmailing me and threatened to throw me out of the film, which forced me to file a complaint.”
“After the wedding was called off, the family blocked me everywhere. I later found out that other artists from the film had also not received their payments. I had heard of directors fleecing producers in the film industry, but this is complete theft,” Mane added.
Palash Muchhal’s advocate questions Vidnyan Mane
Reacting to the allegations, Palash Muchhal’s advocate, Shreyansh Mithare, issued a strong rebuttal and questioned the credibility and timing of the accusations.
In a statement, Mithare said, “Vidnyan claims he paid money, but there is no proof of whether the payment was made via cheque or bank transfer. As for the allegation that Palash was caught with another woman, where is the evidence? We don’t even know this individual personally; we were introduced to him through Smriti’s father, Shrinivas. There has been no direct association. Why did he remain silent for so long? It is only after the wedding was called off that he surfaced. Palash is currently exploring his legal options.”

Palash Muchhal reacts to cheating allegations
Palash Muchhal has denied all allegations against him. Taking to his Instagram Stories, he wrote, “In light of the allegations made by Sangli-based Vidnyan Mane on social media, I wish to state that these claims against me are entirely baseless and factually incorrect. They have been made with malicious intent to tarnish my reputation and will not go unchallenged. My lawyer, Shreyansh Mithare, is exploring all legal avenues, and the matter will be dealt with strictly through appropriate legal channels.”
