CBFC gives green signal to Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Ustad Bhagat Singh’, gives U/A certificate

**Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC)** has given **U/A certificate** to **Ustad Bhagat Singh**. This is an upcoming Telugu action entertainer film starring **Pawan Kalyan** in the lead role, directed by **Harish Shankar** and produced by **Mythri Movie Makers**. The makers announced its approval on social media on March 10, 2026, stating that the film has been certified with **no cuts** and a runtime of approximately 2 hours 29 minutes.

The U/A rating (suitable for children under 12 with parental guidance) matches the film’s family-oriented mass appeal, even though it has heavy action elements to garner more viewership during its release on the festival of Ugadi.

The theatrical date was extended from March 26 to **March 19, 2026** to take advantage of Ugadi celebrations and fill the void left by Yash’s **Toxic** (postponed to June due to uncertainties over the Middle East fight). This leads to a big clash with Ranveer Singh’s **Dhurandhar: The Revenge** on the same day.

Music wise, the film has songs composed by **Devi Sri Prasad (DSP)** which includes popular tracks like **”Dekh Lenge Saala”** (a Telugu-Hindi mass anthem) and **”Aura of Ustad”** which have received blockbuster response from fans. Due to production delays in sending the reels for the background score, the DSP could not accommodate it between previously scheduled commitments. With mutual consent, **Thaman S** was brought in exclusively for the BGM, creating a “powerful musical combination” of the two stalwarts to enhance the energy of the film and ensure timely delivery.

In this decision, priority has been given to the vision and smooth progress of the project, promising audiences a memorable cinematic experience. As the film gets ready for its grand worldwide release, excitement is rising.
