CBI court sentenced 10 accused to life imprisonment in CO Ziaul Haq murder case, all were fined.

Lucknow. The CBI Court in Lucknow has given its verdict on Wednesday evening in the much-discussed CO Zia-Ul-Haq Murder Case that took place 11 years ago in Pratapgarh District of UP. In the decision that came 11 years after the murder, a total of 10 accused have been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment by the CBI Special Judge. Also, a fine of Rs 19,500 has been imposed on each accused. 50 percent of the total fine amount will be given to Ziaul Haq's wife. After the verdict late on Wednesday evening, all the accused have been sent to jail.

This heart-wrenching murder took place on March 2, 2013, when the then CO Kunda Ziaul Haq was shot dead after being beaten with sticks. Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya was also made an accused in this case, although he has already got a clean chit.

Lucknow's CBI Special Court on Wednesday convicted Phoolchandra Yadav, Pawan Yadav, Manjeet Yadav, Ghanshyam Saroj, Ram Lakhan Gautam, Chhotalal Yadav, Ram Asre, Munna Patel, Shivram Pasi, Jagat Bahadur Pal alias in the DSP Zia Ul Haq murder case. Bulle Pal has been sentenced to life imprisonment. In this case, Raghuraj Pratap Singh Raja Bhaiya and his close village head Gulshan Yadav have already got clean chit in the case.
