CBSE 10th Result 2026: The wait of lakhs of CBSE Class 10th students and their parents is finally over. According to the latest update on Umang App (umang.gov.in), CBSE has released the 10th board results. As soon as the results are declared, there is often a problem of server crash or slow down due to heavy traffic on the official website. Is APAAR ID mandatory for result?
It has been made clear by the Education Department that Apar ID is not at all mandatory to check CBSE 10th result. Students can easily check their marks even without this.
Then why the need for Apar ID?
CBSE has started using it for exam registration and record keeping, but it is mainly for administrative purposes. However, for future convenience, students are advised to create their own Apar ID and link it to DigiLocker.
What is APAAR ID?
APAAR stands for Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry. It is a digital education initiative of the Government of India under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Through this, every student is given a ‘Unique Digital ID’, in which all his academic records are kept safe at one place through ‘Academic Bank of Credits’ (ABC).

DigiLocker: Through DigiLocker app or its website (results.digilocker.gov.in).
Umang App (UMANG): By downloading the UMANG App (umang.gov.in) on your smartphone.
SMS Service: By sending messages in the prescribed format from your registered mobile number.
IVRS (Call): By calling the toll-free number issued by the Board.
