CBSE Class 12 Chemistry Exam Analysis 2026: ‘Moderate to easy’in difficulty, say students

As per the students, the numerical problems were manageable with clear guidelines and familiar patterns. The Class 12 Chemistry paper covered queries on organic chemistry, electrochemistry and chemical kinetics. Overall, the Chemistry paper was well-balanced and fair.

Sarita Khokhar, Academic Coordinator, Class 11, 12 and HOD Science, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Ghaziabad- The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate. Most of the questions were directly based on NCERT concepts, but some required conceptual clarity, especially numericals and organic conversions. A few questions required the application of concepts and careful interpretation.

Students with strong NCERT preparation and practice of numericals and named reactions would have found the paper balanced. Time management was reasonable and students were able to complete the paper within the allotted time. The paper followed the expected CBSE blueprint, providing a well-balanced mix of understanding, application, and memory-based questions. Overall, the question paper was well-structured, syllabus-oriented, and competency-based.

According to Kushagra Tripathi, Kartik Srivastava, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Ghaziabad, who appeared for the exam the paper was moderate in terms of difficulty level. ‘The paper was time-consuming especially in solving the numericals in section C. The questions of organic conversions were a bit difficult. We were able to do the paper in the allotted time.’
