CBSE Exam Canceled in Middle East: The impact of the joint military action taken by America and Israel on Iran is now visible not only on oil and gas but also on the education system. Due to this, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken a major decision and canceled the Class 12 board examinations in some Middle-Eastern countries. This decision will be applicable to all CBSE schools located in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE.

What is the reason for the decision?
Apart from India, lakhs of CBSE students study in foreign countries also. Board examinations were being conducted simultaneously in 26 countries of the world, but due to the US-Israel-Iran conflict, it was not possible to conduct examinations in many countries of the Middle East.
The Board assessed the possibilities of conducting the examination in these countries several times. Considering the requests received from local schools, available information and administrative circumstances, it was ultimately decided to cancel the examinations. Earlier, circulars in this regard were issued on March 1, March 3, March 5, March 7 and March 9, 2026, in which some examinations were earlier postponed. Now all those examinations have also been considered cancelled.
Exams to be held between 16 March to 10 April 2026 cancelled.

According to the latest decision of CBSE, all the class 12 board examinations to be held between 16 March 2026 to 10 April 2026 have been completely canceled for the students of these countries. Besides, the already postponed examinations will also now be considered cancelled.
The board has also clarified that the basis on which the results of these students will be declared is being considered. CBSE may soon issue detailed guidelines regarding the process of declaring results and evaluation method. Official information about this decision has also been given to the Indian embassies in the respective countries. Now all eyes are on which evaluation method the board adopts to declare the results of the students.
