CCTV footage reveals secrets of custodial death

Amidst the questions being raised regarding the death of Bittu Kumar, lodged in Jadiya Police Station Hajat of Supaul district, and the allegations of murder being made by the family members, CCTV footage has exposed many important facts. On Thursday, the police showed the CCTV footage installed at Hazat. According to the police, after the intervention of senior officials, when the recordings of the CCTV cameras installed in Hazat were scrutinized, the entire incident was captured in it. According to the footage, Bittu is first seen trying to get out of trouble. He tries to escape from Hajat through the ventilator and for this he tries to get out not once, not twice but three times by climbing the grill of Hajat. However, every time he fails and falls down.

After struggling for a long time and failing to find a way out, Bittu calms down. According to the footage, he is seen resting with his head down for some time after drinking water. After this a change is seen in his behaviour. Taking the opportunity, he cuts the strip at the edge of the blanket with his teeth, gives it a rope-like shape and starts tying it to the upper grill of the toilet. It is seen in the CCTV recording that after realizing that there was no policeman present nearby, he quickly prepared the noose. After this, he put a noose around his neck and tightened it and slowly started removing the support of his legs.

For a few moments his writhing is captured in the camera, but after some time his activities stop completely. After the CCTV footage surfaced, many of the ongoing speculations regarding the incident have come to an end. Although the relatives of the deceased are still raising questions on the role of the police, the investigation of the case is going on and the administration is investigating various aspects of the entire incident.
