Vehicle keys will be available in January 2026

Tata Motors Chief Commercial Officer Vivek Srivatsa has informed that the Indian women’s cricket team will be formally honored in the month of December. After this, all the players will be handed over the keys of their new Tata Sierra SUV in January 2026. It is noteworthy that Tata Sierra has been an important name in Indian automobile history.

It is considered to be India’s first made-in-India SUV. After a long wait, this iconic name has made a strong comeback. Bookings for the new Sierra have started and customers can book it through the company’s website or the nearest dealership.

Brand new and powerful design

The design of the new Tata Sierra is completely different from the old model. Apart from the name, there is nothing like the old Sierra in it. This SUV is built on the new ARGOS platform. Its boxy design, sleek LED headlamps and LED DRLs attached to the front grille give it a modern and premium look. The welcome light bar at the front and the gloss black cladding at the bottom make the SUV more bold.

A glimpse of old memories from the signature window

The side profile of the new Sierra has the rear windows and roof finished in black color. This design is especially given to remind the famous Alpine Window of the old Tata Sierra. The special thing is that this is the first ICE SUV in its segment, which has a triple-screen setup on the dashboard.

Segment-leader SUV in features

Tata Sierra has the largest panoramic sunroof in the segment. Its cabin has a new design with floating center console and door armrest. The SUV has advanced features like seat ventilation, level-2 ADAS, head-up display, digital instrument cluster and six airbags.

Petrol and diesel engine options

The new Tata Sierra comes with three engine options. It has a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (108 PS, 145 Nm) with manual and DCA gearbox. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine produces 160 PS of power and 255 Nm of torque, which comes mated to a 6-speed automatic. At the same time, the 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine generates power of 116 BHP and torque of 280 Nm.

Tata Sierra price

The starting price of Tata Sierra has been kept at Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom), while the price of its top variant goes up to Rs 21.29 lakh (ex-showroom).
