Celina Jaitly: 100 crore compensation from husband Peter Haag, demand of 10 lakh maintenance every month
Celina Jaitley: Bollywood actress Celina Jaitley has intensified her legal battle against her husband Peter Haag. After recently filing a complaint making serious allegations, the actress has now demanded damages of ₹100 crore along with ₹10 lakh maintenance every month.
Celina Jaitley and Peter Haag appeared in the court on 12 December. The court has directed both the parties to submit their income affidavits by January 27. Apart from this, the court has sought a response from Peter Haag regarding the domestic violence complaint filed by the actress.
Celina Jaitley filed the petition in November
Celina Jaitley had approached the court in November, alleging that she had to endure continuous physical and mental abuse during their 15-year marriage. In her petition, the actress claimed that she was abused and humiliated for a long time.
She further alleged that her financial independence was taken away, adding that Peter Haag interfered in her professional work and prevented her from earning, making her completely dependent on him. Celina also accused her husband of withdrawing money from her bank account, misusing her debit and credit cards and keeping her important documents and passport with him.
Celina said, ‘Husband stops me from talking to my children’
Celina Jaitley told that during a very bad phase—when she lost one of her children and her parents—she was very weak emotionally. She alleged that during this period, Peter Haag transferred her flat into his name and gave it on rent. She also claimed that a joint property in Vienna was sold without her consent.
According to Selina, Peter Haag abandoned her and her children in a small village in Austria, from where she managed to escape with the help of a neighbor. She further said that Peter Haag had filed for divorce in an Austrian court earlier this year, holding her responsible for the breakdown of the marriage.
Celina Jaitley’s legal team said that the Austrian court has allowed her to talk to her children on phone for one hour every day. However, the actress says that ever since she started legal action in India, she has been stopped from talking to her children.
