Censor Board used scissors on Kartik Aryan-Ananya Panday’s ‘Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri’, made many changes in the film.
New Delhi: This news is shocking for Bollywood romantic-comedy lovers. Before the release of stars Kartik Aryan and Ananya Pandey’s upcoming film ‘Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri’, the Censor Board (CBFC) has asked to cut some scenes. The film is all set to hit the theaters on December 25, 2025, but in the meantime, there have been three changes in the censoring process that may affect the audience’s experience.
The film received a U/A 16+ certificate, but the CBFC ensured that some suggested changes were made so that the certificate could be issued. Under this, some sensitive parts of the film were shortened and instructions were given to remove or mute some words.
What changes did CBFC make?
CBFC has informed about three major changes made in the film. The first and foremost change is that a sexually suggestive scene was reduced to about 15 seconds. This scene was in the first part of the film and was asked to be shortened so that it would be suitable for U/A certificate.
The second change has been made in the dialogues of the film, where instructions were given to mute or remove some obscene words. For this the makers have done necessary editing. In the third change, some brief obscene expressions have also been removed or muted from the dialogue to make the language of the film more appropriate.
Only after implementing these changes, the film was able to obtain the certificate from CBFC, and its run-time is now stated to be 145 minutes 41 seconds (approximately 2 hours 25 minutes).
Excitement and controversy regarding the film
The trailer of ‘Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri’ has already been released and fans are constantly excited about it. Kartik and Ananya’s chemistry in the film has been appreciated by the audience, and it has also been commented that this pairing can remind many people of their “best film” till date.
However, despite the changes by the Censor Board, the film remains in discussion among today’s young audience. Apart from this, a legal dispute related to the film also came to light before its release, where a petition was filed in the Bombay High Court regarding the song ‘Saat Samandar Paar’.
Production and release details
This film is being made under the banner of Dharma Productions and other producers, directed by Sameer Vidwans. The film is releasing on 25 December 2025 in the festive season of December, while the news of its release on occasions like Diwali has already created excitement among the audience.
