Changes happened in ‘Dhurandhar 2’ after 18 days of release
In this film, stars like Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshay Khanna, R Madhavan and Sara Arjun have performed brilliantly along with Ranveer Singh. Recently news has come that the Censor Board has given instructions to make some changes in the theatrical prints of the film. According to sources, the censor board had decided to trim some violent scenes and mute the abuses while giving an ‘A’ certificate.
A video had gone viral on social media, in which a glimpse of the cameraman was visible during the bathroom scene. After this complaint, the makers of the film have released an updated print. Notably, some of the abuses uttered by Sanjay Dutt’s character Chaudhary Aslam have been muted. Some dialogues in the Liari gang war scene have also been replaced with beep sounds. Apart from this, an abuse in Rakesh Bedi’s pedicure scene and a dialogue in the fighting sequence of the song ‘Aari Aari’ have also been muted.
The makers say that while the CBFC had given clearance, some audience feedback had expressed discomfort due to the abuses. These small changes have been made to provide a better experience. The new print has recently been released, and the changes are so subtle that most viewers will hardly notice them. Fans’ reactions are mixed; Some believe that the abuses were part of the rough and tough mood of the film, while others are calling it a commendable move to make it watchable with the family.
Overall, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is still doing great business in theaters and its action sequences, story twists and acting are being highly appreciated. The strictness of the Censor Board on big budget films often becomes a topic of discussion in Bollywood.
